The beginning of year 2005 was a turning point in Ashish life. Studying Textiles at NID was the dream come true for the designer. The years spent from 2005-08 brought him close to the crafts, people, diverse culture of India, design process and the Ahmedabad city. It was a summer of 2008, while working on his Post graduation project that focused mainly on Up cycled textile materials and craft based innovations in apparels & accessories, exploring the rich & kitsch culture of India, he decided to name the project as "SIMPLY KITSCH". The idea was conceived and a brand was born few years later.
